Barnesyard on KFBK

It looks like they are putting up the audio clips of my appearances on KFBK 1530 AM on the station's blog. I can't get audio on my work computer, so I don't know if it's just a brief clip of my appearance or if it's something longer. I'll be on there again this Friday at 4:40 p.m., talking about Ang Lee's "Taking Woodstock".

I'm really glad they put that up, because so far I haven't been in the right place at the right time to listen live. Not only that, but I was really wanting to hear a more in depth (rather than a just a bump) review of Basterds from. I, of course, liked it too. I especially like that one of the real heroes of the film is a projectionist.

I'm with Cody on this one -- I'm never around to listen to it live and I wanted a more in-depth review!

My capsule review of "Inglourious Basterds" will be in this week's SNR. In the meantime, one more thing to like about it - the film critic is one of the good guys! When has that ever happened?

CH from Dinuba will be very upset with that.

I'm very curious what "people like him" who hate film critics will make of the movie.

People like me who hate film critics will really like the scene in Inglourious Basterds where a film critic, although portrayed as a hero in the movie, gets shot in a very violent scene. I just wish Quentin Tarantino would use less cussing in his movies. This is DEFINITELY NOT a family movie. But I really liked Brad Pitt's character, because he was real fast and smart, and he really gave those nazis the what for.

I just wish the Nazis had shot that film critic in the heart, because he is so heartless.

Aw, thank you. That's good to hear, since I haven't had the guts to listen to it yet. I actually can't think of anything I would like to do less. Even a 24-hour "Post Grad" marathon sounds appealing by comparison.
