Obviously, I can only judge the film that I've seen, so "Primary", "Titticut Follies", "Vernon, Florida", "An Inconvenient Truth", "Super Size Me", "Born Into Brothels", "Night and Fog", "Shoah", "The Sorrow and the Pity", and pretty much anything made outside of the United States are out of the running. I have seen many highly regarded or widely seen docs that just didn't make the cut - "The Thin Blue Line", "Gates of Heaven", "Grey Gardens", "Burden of Dreams", "Koyaanisqatsi", "Four Little Girls", and "Brother's Keeper" among them. I don't hate these films, they just didn't make a tough cut.
That said, what was the most egregious omission? The most egregious inclusion? Anyone else got a list of faves?
I'd add:

PS -- You haven't seen "The Sorrow and the Pity"? Probably the best war doc ever made.
